Admissions Events

Informational Open Houses

Highlands Latin Phoenix welcomes interested families to Informational Open House events each spring. Here interested families can view the curriculum, see class schedules, receive enrollment packets, meet current teachers and families, experience the HLS Phoenix spirit, and have plenty of time to ask questions.

Interested families are also invited to experience Highlands Latin Phoenix firsthand by visiting our campus during the school day on an Observation Day. Classes will operate as scheduled, with curriculum and samples of student work available for viewing.

Enrollment Process

Our unique educational program calls for a comprehensive enrollment process, one that builds mutual understanding and partnership between the school, parents, and prospective students.  As such, Highlands Latin Phoenix has developed a three-step enrollment process that allows school administrators, parents, and students to come together to develop a shared vision for success. 

(1) Application for Enrollment

Families interested in attending Highlands Latin Phoneix are invited to submit the application for enrollment in order to initiate the process. Please note that there is a nominal $10.00 family application fee.

(2) Family Interview

Upon receipt of the application for enrollment, the Director will contact each family to schedule an informal family interview and modest student evaluation. The student evaluation consists of a few questions assessing the student’s writing and mathematical abilities. The family interview gives administrators and parents an opportunity to discuss the student’s background and experience; the mission,  philosophy, and structure of the school; our curriculum; Code of Conduct and policies; and principles for success in our unique hybrid program.

(3) Acceptance of Admission

Upon notification of acceptance into Highlands Latin Phoenix, families are invited to complete the Admission Packet online. This packet contains a variety of administrative documents that will fully enroll your child in our school. 

The final step of the admission process is the payment of the $150.00/student enrollment fee, which secures the student’s spot at Highlands Latin Phoenix. (Please see Enrollment Dates for information on early and late enrollment periods.)

After Enrollment

After your student is fully enrolled at Highlands Latin Phoenix, please order their uniform from French Toast, our uniform provider. 

 

Highlands Latin Phoenix will order the student’s books and have them at Meet the Teachers/Parent Orientation/Book Pickup on Thursday, August 8, 2019.  

 

After book pickup, it is only a matter of days until the exciting first day of school!
